What Information Do We Collect?

Personal Information
You are able to access much of the content on the Websites without submitting any Personal Information, although Non-Personal Information may still be collected. Certain areas of the websites allow you to submit Personal Information voluntarily, including areas where you can request more information about, or regarding, a AIDI  product or education. For these purposes, we may collect your name, mailing address, phone number and email address, and dental license number. Blog Comments and Other Interactive Features
Our Websites may include areas, such as blogs, where you can submit comments in response to posted content. In order to submit a comment, you must submit your name and email address. The content of any submitted comment is determined by you, but it may include Personal Information. Any communications you submit or post to any interactive features on our Websites may be viewable by other users of the Websites. Therefore, you acknowledge and understand that you have no expectation of privacy or confidentiality in the content you submit for such interactive features, whether or not it contains Personal Information about you.

Non-Personal Information
When you visit the Websites, we may also collect Non-Personal Information about you, which your web browser automatically sends whenever you visit a website on the Internet. “Non-Personal Information” is information that does not, by itself, identify a specific individual. Our servers automatically record this information, which may include your Internet Protocol (“IP“) address, browser type, browser language, and the date and time of your request.

Cookies
We may collect information about your use of the Websites through cookies and similar technology. A “cookie” is a unique numeric code that we transfer to your computer so that we can keep track of your interests and/or preferences and recognize you as a return visitor to the Websites. Cookie technology allows us to collect “clickstream” data, which is not Personal Information but which reflects your activities on the Websites, including the pages you view. We may use the information collected by cookies for general statistical and other purposes.

How Do We Use Information We Collect?

Personal Information
When you submit Personal Information through the Websites, we will use it first of all for the purposes for which you submitted it. These purposes include providing you with the information you requested, such as information packets about specific devices that may be of interest or otherwise contacting you when you submit an inquiry to us. We may also use your information to communicate with you about our products or other services that may be of use to you. In addition, we may use Personal Information for our own internal research purposes – for example, we use this information to help us better tailor our products to individuals who most need them. Please note that for any interactive features we offer that allow you to publicly post content, you must not expect privacy for confidentiality in the content you submit, whether or not it contains Personal Information about you. We may combine the Personal Information you provide us with other information about you that is available to us, including information from other sources.

Non-Personal Information
Use of IP Address. In addition to logging the IP address of your computer as you use the Websites, we also may use your IP address to customize the Websites’ content. We may retain IP addresses, and we may retain them together with Personal Information that you provide and use such information for the purposes outlined in this Policy.

Use of Cookies. We may use the data we obtain through the use of cookies to customize your experience on the Websites by anticipating the information and services that may interest you. We also may analyze the information collected with cookie technology to help us improve the functioning of the Websites by monitoring traffic in popular areas and to modify the services and information we provide to meet user demand. We may link clickstream data to the Personal Information that you provide through use of the Websites. We may use the information we collect through cookies for our business purposes, including operation of the Websites, as well as possibly providing you with information that may interest you.

In the event of an emergency, or if we are legally compelled to disclose your Personal Information to a third party, we will make a reasonable attempt to notify you, unless we believe that doing so would violate the law or a court order, or pose a threat or danger to anyone, or where it would seriously impede the proper execution of our business operations. We also reserve the right to cooperate with law enforcement authorities in disclosing information for the purpose of (4) investigating and prosecuting users who violate our terms of use or engage in behavior that may be a breach of an agreement, illegal or harmful to us, our property, or others, or is a threat to U.S. homeland or national security, public safety anywhere in the world, or the conduct of international affairs, and (5) assisting such authorities in the administration of any law.

If we assign our rights and obligations regarding any of your information at the time of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of our assets to a subsequent owner or operator of the Websites, you will be deemed to have consented to the disclosure to, and use by, such subsequent owner or operator, of any information about you contained in our files and records. In the event of such a merger, acquisition, or sale, your continued use of the Website signifies your agreement to be bound by the privacy policy and other applicable terms of the subsequent owner or operator.

What About Sharing Information with Third Party Websites?

We may provide a feature on some of our Websites through a link or other tool that enables you to share a webpage or other information on a third party website, such as social media websites like Facebook, Twitter or through other mechanisms such as email. We do not control these third party services. When you post information to or through such services, those websites’ privacy policies and cookie usage policies apply directly. We encourage you to review the privacy policies posted on those, and all third party websites you visit.

What Choices Do You Have About Your Information?

When you use the Websites, you have the following choices about information you provide through the Websites.
